Córdoba The City

Córdoba is an historic city in Andalusia, the southern region of Spain, known throughout the world for its stunning architecture and vibrant culture. Known as “La ciudad de las tres culturas” where Christians, Jews and Muslims lived together in peace for centuries, Córdoba has much to offer aspiring students of Spanish from all over the world. Below are just a few features which make Córdoba the ideal city to study Spanish:

  • Safety during the day and at night
  • Low cost of living compared to other Spanish cities
  • Not as many foreigners speaking English as in Sevilla, Granada, Málaga, Madrid or Barcelona.
  • Walkable and bikeable city size: not too big and not too small!

Homestay Options

At Alcántara School of Spanish (provisional name), we strongly recommend that our students choose a homestay option to make the most of their time with in Córdoba and to progress as swiftly as possible in the Spanish language. All of our homestay families have been strictly vetted and specially selected to make your stay in Córdoba one of the most memorable times of your life.
